Tunji Olurin Early Life and Education:
Tunji Olurin was born on December 3, 1944, in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. He hailed from a family of high standing, with Chief M. A. O. Olurin, the Agoro of Illaro, and Madam Abigail Fola Olurin as his parents. Tunji attended Egbado College (now Yewa College) and later pursued his education at Technical College (now Ibadan Polytechnic) in Ibadan.
His dedication to serving the nation led him to join the Nigerian Army in 1967, enrolling as an officer cadet of the 3rd Regular Course. He graduated from the prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, where he earned the NDA Certificate of Education. Tunji Olurin also underwent training at the School of Infantry, Quetta, Pakistan, the Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna, and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
