Born on January 20, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, Blueface spent his early years in Mid-City before moving to Santa Clarita Valley with his mother. Later, he settled in Oakland with his father, and eventually moved to the San Fernando Valley. At Arleta High School, he was part of the marching band, playing the alto saxophone, and also played football, where he became the starting quarterback in 2014. Standing at 6 ft 3 in (191 cm) and weighing 162 lbs (73.5 kg), he made his mark on the field.
Blueface, initially known as Blueface Bleedem, started his rap career in January 2017 with ties to the School Yard Crips. He gained attention after releasing “Deadlocs” on SoundCloud. In 2018, he dropped his first project, Famous Cryp, followed by the EP Two Coccy. His track “Thotiana” hit the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019 and received remixes with YG and Cardi B. Blueface was part of XXL’s 2019 Freshman Class. He released the EP Dirt Bag in 2019, featuring collaborations with Rich the Kid, Offset, Lil Pump, and more. In 2020, he finally released his debut album, Find the Beat, with praise from Lil Uzi Vert. Outside of music, he opened a soul food restaurant called Blue’s Fish and Soul in 2021.
