Maria’s early life was marked by the passing of her mother when she was just 12 years old. After this tragic event, she moved to the countryside to live with her grandmother. She attended Suswa Primary School in Kinangop Constituency for her elementary education and later pursued her secondary education at Manunga Secondary School in Kipipiri Constituency. Maria completed her high school studies at St. Teresa High School. While studying mass communication at Mount Kenya University, she also pursued a cabin crew course at Kenya Airways.
